Black Ops 2 Double Xp Weekend October 2014
Call of Duty: Mobile (formerly known as Call of Duty: Legends of War , and Elite Squad in its pre-alpha phase) is a free mobile first-person shooter that was released first in Alpha on December 15th, 2018 for Android systems only in Australia. [2]
On March 18th, 2019, Activision officially announced the game, now called Call of Duty: Mobile. [3] [4] On September 18th, 2019, a release was announced and the game was released worldwide on October 1st, 2019. [5] At launch, the game was not available in Belgium, mainland China, and Vietnam. On April 20, 2020, the game was released in Vietnam. On December 25, 2020, the game was released in China. [6]
The game surpassed 35 million downloads on the Apple Store and Google Play on its first three days worldwide[7] and reached 100 million downloads during its first week[8]. By the end of 2019, Call of Duty: Mobile reached 180 million downloads worldwide[9]. By June 2020, the game has over 250 million downloads and generated nearly $327 million[10]. As of May 2021, the game surpassed 500 million downloads[11] and generated over $1 billion.[12]
It can be seen as somewhat of a spiritual successor to Call of Duty: Online, due to a similar approach of a "mega-game", as the former had, along with taking several weapons and various other things from the former.

Elite Squad
In October 2018, a trailer of a game called "Elite Squad" was leaked. While there are is no official information about this version, looking at available files shows that at this point TiMi Studios were not sure whether they would get the rights to Call of Duty or not. Because of this the game was developed in 2 versions. Some of the assets for the Elite Squad version where called "UNCOD". A lot of the Elite Squad assets still remain in the current files. These include, but are not limited to: weapon UI icons, weapon stat files, loading screens and text files.

Multiplayer
Call of Duty: Mobile's multiplayer features classic, "boots on the ground" gameplay that fans have come to love, and also features various fan-favorite weapons across almost every Call of Duty title. The game includes a slowly increasing amount of maps: Hijacked, Nuketown, Crash, Takeoff, Crossfire, Summit, Standoff, Raid, Killhouse and Firing Range. More maps are added as new updates are released.
There are ranked and non-ranked options. Ranked only contains 4 modes: Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Search and Destroy. Non-ranked can be played in any available modes and any available maps.
Similar to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the multiplayer features health-bars on top of each player's character, as well as red lights on the shoulders.
Killstreaks are replaced by scorestreaks, which are achieved by reaching a certain score. All players can also equip three scorestreaks at any given time.
The game also features Operator Skills which are similar to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. These Operator Skills are activated after a certain period of time and can be used to deal massive damage against enemies in order to gain an upper hand. Each Operator Skill has a unique function for operating.
The medals awarded in multiplayer are based on the medals from Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
A nuke that kills every player in the enemy team is also achievable with 20 weapon kills without dying. Scorestreak kills, like VTOLs, Stealth Choppers, and Sentry Guns do not count towards this total.
As of the Gunsmith Update introduced in Season 9 Conquest, the game now features weapon customization similar to that of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Players can now choose from a variety of attachments ranging from different barrel attachments to even different ammunition attachments and perks as attachments. Players can see how each attachment affects their weapon statistics and the overall performance in terms of percentage.

Zombies
In an early build of Call of Duty: Mobile (while it was still known as Call of Duty: Legends of War), the Zombies mode featured various linear missions that can be completed in a few minutes instead of the usual round-based gameplay.
In this build, the missions were based on the Call of Duty: Black Ops II map; Green Run.
It featured online, 4-player co-op, and features the return of various classic enemies such as Brutus, the Avogadro, as well as the Napalm Zombie, dubbed "Infernos".
Zombie mode was officially launched on November 23, 2019, and the mode was completely rework compared to the Alpha version launched in Australia in December 2018.
The first map at launch was Shi no Numa and three modes were released: Survival mode and Raid mode where there are two difficulties; Normal Raid and Hardcore Raid. It also features the return of classic Perk-a-Colas Juggernog, Speed Cola, Double Tap Root Beer, Quick Revive, Deadshot Daiquiri, and Electric Cherry, as well as a new system known as Coins, which act similarly to GobbleGum from Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Zombies also features "Buffs", which are cheaper, non-perk slot bonuses that grant the player abilities such as increased weapon damage, increased health, etc.
On February 29th, 2020, TiMi Studios announced the Zombies mode will be removed from the game on March 25th, 2020 but with the promise to return in some point in the future[22]. On March 31st, 2021, TiMi Studios announced that a new Zombies experience would be released in Call of Duty: Mobile in late 2021.[23]
Undead Siege
- Main article: Undead Siege
On August 1st, 2021, the game was updated with the new Undead Siege mode, which varied drastically from the original round-based gamemode, and is a PvE mode, where a squad of four players defend a teleportation base from zombies. It shares mechanics with both the Battle Royale mode and traditional Zombies. It features two modes, Casual and Hard, with Hard providing much more rewards and XP in general, but requiring more strategy and coordination to win. A special reward track is provided, and players can complete various challenges to earn XP for said track. An event known as Aether Hunt has challenges relating to the mode and ties slightly to the plot of the actual game mode.
Zombies Easter Eggs
In Call of Duty Mobile Zombies, there are three known easter eggs.
The first Easter Egg (achievable only in the Hardcore Raid) is an additional boss known as the "Jubokko", which can be unlocked after activating the elevator and entering the second part of the map. In the center building there are 4 repair parts that can be picked up spawning both on the first and second floors, however, the Elevator only requires two parts to be repaired. After repairing the elevator the player(s) can activate it which sends them to the second part of the map called Zetsubou No Shima.
This part of the map contains two additional perk machines. Within this section of the map, there are blue plants with the ability to sprout large tendrils. Killing them all will grant the ability to get the codes to fight the Jubokko. The codes can be entered on a computer terminal in the adjacent room highlighted by a flashing red light.
Another Easter Egg involves shooting the blue crystal rock formation in the Northwestern section of the map, doing so enough times will spawn blue skulls. Shooting all the skulls will reward the players with a Power-Up.
Within the southeastern section of the map, in the furthest building, there is a set of pans hanging on the wall. Shooting them all will spawn a total of four blue plants around the map. Destroying them all will reward the players with a Max Ammo.
Battle Royale
The Battle Royale mode makes a return in Call of Duty: Mobile. The mode features 3 game modes, 1-player, 2-players, and 4-players modes. One map is available at launch, called Isolated, which features several locations from the Black Ops and Modern Warfare series. A 20 versus 20 mode (known as "Warfare") was also temporarily added to Battle Royale.
Players can also choose between two camera types, a third-person camera called TPP Shot Mode or a first-person camera called FPP Shot Mode. When you first begin Battle Royale, you're presented with a quick overview displaying important game details, designed to get you into the action as quickly as possible, but with an overall understanding of the actions to undertake and the threats to face.
There is fall damage, but it can be easily avoided as the player automatically opens wingsuits when jumping off a high height. However, medium heights can still be dangerous. There are also ziplines for fast and easy travel.
Within Battle Royale, there are sixteen classes that the player can choose between at the start of the game that each has unique attributes, including equipment and a perk that are only available for that class.
The classes include:
- Scout - Sensor Dart and Tracker (Official page)
- Clown - Toy Bomb and Anti-zombie (Official Page)
- Medic - Medical Station and Medic (Official Page)
- Ninja - Grapple Hook and Dead Silence (Official Page)
- Defender - Transform Shield and Reinforced (Official Page)

Only one player per squad or duo can select a class, forcing each person to select a different one.
As of Season 9 Conquest, weapons and attachments have been changed from something similar to the traditional PUBG style to a rarity system similar to Warzone. From Season 10 The Hunt, scopes are not pre-equipped and can be picked up or swapped. However, scopes cannot be swapped from Airdrop Arsenal Loadouts.
In Season 11 Anniversary, a new Batte Royale map was introduced called Alcatraz, initially as a season-exclusive and from Season 12 and onward, became a permanent map together with Isolated. However, in 2021 Season 2 Day of Reckoning, Alcatraz was then removed from the 24/7 playlist, as the development team did not want to keep supporting the game mode.
In Season 8 2021, BR received a revamp, this time changing out the original health and vest system for an armor plate system similar to Call of Duty: Warzone. All players can have a maximum of 250 health (300 if they obtain a Supercharger), and receive no damage reduction when using said armor. Blackout is also set to replace the original Isolated map, and is currently the main map available. The original rarity system of Warzone was replaced by no-attachment weapons that can be equipped with unique mods similar to the previous system. Airdrops have also been split into two variants, the default airdrop (where you can find Superchargers or powerful weapons such as Operator Skills), and Arsenal Drops, which are now how players get their customized weapons. Backpacks are also modified, as they can now be found in Levels. The maximum bag size is now 8, compared to the original 10 slots with a large backpack.
Monetization
Because the game is free to play, it has plenty of in-app purchases. These are all the things players can purchase:
- Draws/Crates
- Weapon camouflages/blueprints
- Operators/Operator variants
- Grenade camouflages (lethal and non-lethal)
- Battle Royale camouflages (classes, vehicles, wing suits, and parachutes)
- Player avatars and avatar frames
- Weapon XP cards/Player Rename card.
All skins come in 6 levels of Rarity: Common (grey), Uncommon (green), Rare (blue), Epic (purple), Legendary (orange), and Mythic (red). Common usually denoted base weapons.
As of the newer updates, the game now has a Battle Pass model similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare where players can play in order to level up. Inactive Battle Passes shall have only a few tiers free for players while active Battle Passes have all content available to those who purchased. At the cost of additional Call of Duty Points, players can buy the Battle Pass bundle which lets them buy the Battle Pass and skip a few tiers ahead.
Weapon Rarities
Before Season 9 Conquest, camos that were Rare or above would have perks attached to them. These perks would vary, and higher rarities would provide better perks than a lower rarity.
However, after Season 9 Conquest, when Gunsmith was introduced, Uncommon and Rare weapons became camo options, providing no strategic advantage. However, Epic and Legendary camos turned to weapon blueprints, which each had their own unique attachment set. Epic rarity would come with four attachments, while Legendary weapons came full equiped. Legendary weapons would also have unique kill animations. Usually Legendary Weapons are available in draws, whilst Epic weapons are available in draws, crates, Battle Passes, and events.
A new rarity was introduced in Season 11 Anniversary, called Mythic. The Mythic rarity uses a unique leveling system with unique Mythic cards which can be bought in a draw separate to the main weapon draw. Leveling up the Mythic level of a blueprint will unlock extra customization options, such as skins for attachments. The player can choose to use the default appearance of an attachment, or use the modified version. The differences are purely cosmetic, and have no strategic value.
Legendary skins were introduced in Season 12: Going Dark. Legendary skins feature unique features compared to lower rarities, such as a unique kill counter (usually in the form of an augmented reality watch), custom scorestreaks, unique traits in BR (such as a specially colored loot box from dead enemies along with a unique pose when preparing to drop into the map.)
Seasons and Themes
Call of Duty: Mobile releases monthly-based seasons with varying themes and introduction of new characters, new weapons, new Operator Skills, new Scorestreaks, new Perks and new game modes. Starting the third season's launch, the game developers named each season and battle pass to represent the current theme. Since season 6, comics were provided alongside the battle pass, with the story focusing about the theme of the season and picking up where it left off in the new season.
